Author's Response: posted this last March, just as my mother-in-law was taken ill and I've not gotten back to it, but plan to soon. Thanks for the review and I think if you let the bit about old lady Black just slide, it works . . . maybe House Elf magic IS strong enough to bambuzzle her, so WHY NOT have a little peace and quiet and let Harry treat the old girl with a little gentlemanly defference and live his life with the newest family "member". Lots of luck with the THON, as it looks like you and I are just about even . . . so, onward and upward, dear!
