I DON'T remember my 8AM classes, either . . . when we found out the one prof was just reading from the textbook, the brown nosers talked to him and I sat in the back, book open, chin on hand, pen to paper and sound asleep . . .  got a B, just reveiwed end of chapter ?s and that's where his tests came from . . . histology . . . BLAH!

This brought a smile to my face . . . it's been 40 years since I graduated and it all came back, wrapped in the fog of selective memory.

Author's Response:

Wow, I think if a professor just read from the book I would just never go to class.  I don't really remember my one 8am class either.  I'm glad you enjoyed the poem!

And how much coffee had you downed before you wrote THIS one??? HE!HE!HE!

The scary part is  . . .it made perfect sense to me . . . oh dear.

HE!HE!HE!

Cute ( although I hate the thought of hitting squirrels . . .  I yell at them as I drive by, trying to scare them back onto the side of the road . . . usually works )

Author's Response:

Only one cup!  Well, it was about twice the size of a normal cup.  It's not meant to make sense as my teacher wished for us to just trace where our minds went, but I'm glad it makes sense to you!  I would hate to hit a squirrel.  I always stop for them.  Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)

That was cute . . . as feeding ducks is a universally known occupation of children everywhere . . . and a fond memory for us grownups.

Author's Response:

I adored feeding ducks when I was little.  Actually I still do!  Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)

Disney Movies - wish MY french teacher had been half as cool as this one!

Starry night - I really liked this one . . painted quite a picture in my mind - I sew and have spent many a night with needle and thread, working on those little details of some project.

Very good, both of them.

Author's Response:

She was pretty cool, although we didn't learn much.  She was the start of my school's issues with French teachers.  We just can't keep them!  It's just like DADA teachers at Hogwarts.  Nealry four years later, they still can't keep French teachers for very long.

I'm glad you liked Starry Night!  It was based on Van Gogh's Starry Night.  Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)

I'm not much for poetry - I'm into limericks, myself, but this was a nice little read.  Good visuals, flowed nicely . . . isn't it fun to think from someone else's ( a dog's ) perspective?

I'm gonna check out the others you've posted . . . I might really get 'into' poetry, thanks to you!

Author's Response:

I'm glad you enjoyed it!  I love thinking about what goes through my dog's mind (he's who I wrote the poem about) so this poem was a lot of fun to write.  Aw, I hope you enjoy the rest!  Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)
