What a good story . . . not a house elf in sight . . .  so I was 1/4 of the way thru before I realized there wouldn't be any magic and that this was reality . . .  a bit of a fresh breeze, actually.

My son suffers from depression . . was misdiagnosed as manic-depressive and hospitalized 4 times before he was correctly diagnosed and set on the path to recovery . . . so I've seen what it can do to families.

He's divorced now, and a single dad ( of 2 kids, with primary custosy ) and going back to college, at age 32.  And he's never been happier.  So there are more of these stories out there and they can end happily and being a sucker for a 'happy' ending, liked your story very much.

I'll now go read the other one, if you have it posted here and I've missed it  . . you'll get to know me, I review EVERYTHING!!!!!!!

HE!HE!HE!

Author's Response:

Nope, this wasn't fan fic at all!  The story actually started with a fan fic idea and then I realized all I had to do to make it original was take the magic out, which was where the magic theme came from and the title as well.  I'm glad you liked that!

Oh, wow.  I'm very glad that your son is doing well now.  That's so good to hear!  I've already read and responded to your review on the other story, which was lovely.  Thanks for reading and reviewing! :)
